There is 200 working days exclusive of period of examination and admission etc., out of which at least 40 days is for practice-teaching in about ten schools at upper primary/ secondary/senior secondary level. A working day consist of minimum of 6 hours in a six-day week, during which physical presence of the students in the institution is compulsory.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with at least 45% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or in the Master's degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the D.El.Ed. Programme.

The reservation for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government / State Government, whichever is applicable. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST/OBC and other categories of candidates.
